All the inhabitants of the forest – centaurs, fairies, trolls – stood up for his defense. The king was forced to conclude a truce. One day, His Majesty and his retinue went to the forest to hunt. Suddenly they were attacked by wolves. In those days, the enchanted forest was much more dangerous than it is today. The centaurs tried to provide medical assistance to the wounded companions of the king, but time was not in their favor. All those who accompanied the king died from their wounds.
