
Hunter’s Journey 2: Nightmare Hunting – You take on the role of Velimir, a young hunter, and venture into the depths of a cursed forest where nature itself has been warped by an ancient power. The story begins with alarming events: rot is spreading through the trees, roots are coming to life and attacking people, and something that should have long remained forgotten is awakening deep within the forest. After his recent victory over the Lord of the Lake, Velimir returns to the Hunters’ Academy, but instead of peace, a new trial awaits him. The mentors doubt his strength, and the council decides to test his devotion to the hunt. After receiving a task from Mentor Laurentius, you set off for Black Grove, the place where the corruption began. There you encounter frightened residents, missing people, and strange creatures made of roots and mud that emerge straight from the forest. As you progress, you’ll explore the hut of a reclusive witch, ancient sanctuaries made of bones, caves with poisonous glowing mushrooms, and abandoned ritual sites. You’ll have to restore sacred symbols, unravel tangled legends, and use the relics you find to venture deeper and deeper into the forest. It gradually becomes clear that behind it all lies the Taint, a forgotten spirit that permeates every branch, every shadow, and every living creature. You’ll learn more about what’s happening from the missing alchemist who left behind a map of infected locations to strange portals leading to the world of sea creatures. At the same time, the story of Velimir himself unfolds his power, his connection to the animorph Simuran, and the distrust he faces from the elder hunters. You must not only battle the forest’s spawn but also uncover the truth hidden beneath the roots and ruins.
