Christmas Stories 14: By Candlelight (Bonus Chapter) – Reveals a separate story that complements the main investigation and allows you to look at events from an unexpected angle. You play as Vivian the cat and find out what really happened in the shadows of Christmas events. December is coming to an end, the polar night is still lasting longer than usual, and in Catstown, there is increasing talk of a shortage of light and energy. A strange repair order on Christmas Eve with a request to bring back the light sounds too urgent to ignore. Especially since talk of the prolonged polar night, a new power plant, and disappearances in the past makes one wonder if there is something more than just a natural phenomenon hidden in the city. During her investigation, Vivian encounters the home of the Morten family, who disappeared fifteen years ago on Christmas Eve. Frans, a friend of the family and the current caretaker of the house, tells her about strange noises behind the walls and a small room where someone or something may have been locked away. Hand-knitted Christmas stockings and forgotten belongings seem to suggest that the past has not gone away and is still waiting for answers.
