
Dark City 10: Barcelona – You must travel to Barcelona to investigate a series of strange deaths shrouded in rumors of statues coming to life. It all begins with a letter from Selina Costa, an investor in a hotel under construction. She writes to you directly: a series of tragedies is unfolding at the construction site, workers are dying under mysterious circumstances, and witnesses claim to have seen decorative statues come to life. The police have been unable to determine the cause of the deaths, and the workers, overcome by fear, refuse to continue their work. Selina is convinced that only you are capable of solving this case. Upon arriving in Barcelona, you almost immediately witness a shocking attempted murder. From that moment on, the investigation rapidly gains momentum. You’ll need to inspect the construction site, climb onto the roof where one of the workers fell, search for clues and evidence, and piece together a chain of events that seems increasingly impossible with every new discovery. On site, you’ll meet the people involved in the events. Selina Costa shows you around the hotel and asks you to stop the madness before the project falls apart completely. Chief architect Antoni Riba thanks you for your help and mentions with concern the Brotherhood of Light, an organization about which grim rumors still circulate in the city. According to him, it may not be just a legend. Gradually, you learn that Barcelona’s oldest residents remember this Brotherhood and believe its members possessed the ability to bring statues to life. It is believed that they defended traditions and opposed the city’s development, but over time their methods may have become far more radical. Now there are hints that they are the ones behind the attacks on workers, viewing what is happening as punishment for desecrating the city.
