Some characters help Flynn voluntarily, while others demand exchanges, rare items, or the fulfillment of unusual requests. You’ll have to restore a damaged painting for art connoisseur Gregory Garcia, search for a golden donut to create a resurrection potion, obtain an antidote for bumpiness, grow plants in your own garden, mix beauty powder with water, and use teleports between worlds. Some puzzles require attention to detail and logic, for example, to safely wake a vampire from meditation, you must correctly play musical notes using Bimadd, and to access the Bumpy Kingdom, you’ll need to learn the secret password from the reanimated corpse Juanito. Throughout the story, Flynn constantly interacts with the strange creatures of Oozland. Here you can encounter a talking magical toad-portal, guards who force you to solve math problems to gain entry to the palace, a giant octopus blocking the path to spinach seeds, and a witch who flies into a rage if anyone takes sweets from her garden. Many situations are filled with humor, the characters discuss apple pies, argue about the beauty of palaces, haggle over abstract skulls, and even trade magical items for strawberries or teddy bears. As you progress, the story reveals more and more about the relationship between Flynn and Drake, and the hero himself gradually realizes how important his adoptive brother is to him.
