
Christmas Stories 14: By Candlelight – A winter detective story in which you have to figure out where the old legend ends and the real threat to the whole town begins. You will meet Ingrid, the young owner of an old holiday shop in Frostlund. She was looking forward to a quiet winter, but everything changes when an unnatural ice storm bursts into her life and carries away her family heirlooms. It soon becomes clear that the stories about the Snow Spirit are not just fairy tales told by the fireplace. The storms intensify, the town is threatened with eternal winter, and clues left by Ingrid’s late grandfather lead to forgotten places, a missing caretaker, and a spirit desperately seeking warmth. During your investigation, you will gradually uncover the history of a children’s orphanage that was once a symbol of care and mercy, but later became the source of a dark legend. Dialogues with the residents of Frostlund, old books, and whispers of urban legends will help you understand why a once kind man turned into a restless spirit, and whether it is still possible to warm his frozen heart. The story of the Snow Spirit is closely linked to people’s choices. Legend has it that winter brings only misfortune to those who refuse to help and remain indifferent, while luck smiles on those who share warmth, a candle, or a kind word. You will have to check if this is really the case and decide what is more important: fear of the unknown or the ability to empathize.
